During Ashura, I stayed with members of the non-Bengali linguistic ethnic minority community, popularly known as 'Biharis' in Dhaka's Geneva Camp. My original objective was to investigate the Ashura festival in order to ascertain how it brings together individuals of various ages and occupations within this community. Additionally, I recorded the tazia-making process. I began documenting the event five days before it began, and here is a little clip of how people pull out their tazias and form a procession on the street.
